Information for Parents

Piano is an excellent instrument for children to learn because it gives children the chance to see music as a whole picture. Lessons also give children self-confidence, discipline, and problem-solving abilities. Also, and most importantly, lessons give children--"the lifetime experience of music!"

Lessons are offered for children starting at age 5-7. It is best to start a child on piano lessons when their motor skills and cognitive abilities have already begun to develop.

To enroll, fill out the form at the right. I will contact you to do an initial interview over the phone. This will give us the chance to meet. We will also schedule the first lesson appointment.

You must have a piano or a full size keyboard (88 keys) with full size keys at the very least for your son or daughter to practice on. If you need assistance selecting a piano or keyboard, please contact me.

Rates for lessons vary depending on the location your lessons are held and the length of the lesson. Please email info@nuvalpianostudio.info. For younger beginners, 1/2 hour lessons are recommended. Lessons may include CAI (computer-assisted instruction) like music games, and also music theory and composition.

Information for Later Beginners

If you are a later beginner ( ages: 18+), now is the perfect time to start! Remember that it’s never too late!

Lessons are tailored to your interests. Have you been wanting to play that song you heard on the radio? How about "Clocks" by Coldplay? What about "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton? Bring me your "wish list" and let’s get started.

Rates for lessons vary depending on the location your lessons are held and the length of the lesson. Please email info@nuvalpianostudio.info. Hour lessons are recommended as it is better to have a continuous hour for the lesson. ˝ hour lessons tend to be insufficient time to go over the amount of topics for the lesson.
